Our Story
THE EMOOTTOO STORY
“Unspoken Love” & the “Sixty-Square-Foot Heart”
A home should hold more than furniture. It should hold the time, stories, and love that make a family.
A life defined by “No”
My parents lived a life defined by the word “No.” No space, no time, no luxury. We were a family of eight, tightly packed into a sixty-square-foot unit in a seven-storey resettlement block.
In that cramped reality, I learned early that life was a relentless climb. The only thing we had in abundance was the pressure to survive. I watched my parents sacrifice their youth just to put food on our table, and I honored that sacrifice the only way I knew how: by working just as hard.
“I was building a house, but I was losing the home.”
The cost of always working
But I fell into a trap. I believed that to be a provider, I had to be a ghost—constantly working, building, failing, and restarting. In my race to protect my family from the poverty of my past, I became an absent figure at my own dinner table.
I provided for a family I barely knew, missing the years my son grew from a baby into an adult.
Why Emoottoo exists
We created Emoottoo to reclaim what the “hustle” tries to steal. Our furniture is crafted to carry a warmth you can feel and a durability that survives the beautiful chaos of a growing family.
It serves as a physical reminder to every hardworking parent: Do not wait to be “rich” to be present. Do not wait for “success” to be a father, a husband, or a wife.
Our pieces are designed to be the heart of your home—the place where phones are set aside, stories are finally heard, and love is finally spoken.
